Solte A’ Alma as the main Project Manager

Managing such a wonderful event is practically a challenge and a fun-filled experience. Solte A’ Alma is actually an annual event in MARA College, Banting where we invite students who had been carved with artistic touches. This event is more like a musical fest. There are bands, solo singer and even great dancers competing for the grand title.

At first, the event was like a hard task to do. I was so nervous that time as I knew I had never done anything that big in MARA College Banting. As time passed by, I finally see the shadow of success at the end of the line. By that time around, I was so happy for I had seen the event is shaping itself perfectly and I was pretty confident that it will be a blast. I really appreciate my team for they had conscientiously pouring their best endeavor to make the event a big success and it was. We, from the music club also manage to perform that night. We all had a good time that night. Even though some of the competitors didn’t manage to get any prize, but amazingly, they still come and appreciate us for giving them the chance to show their talents.

Right after the prize giving ceremony, we put an end to the event. Then, we were approached by our seniors and even our own teachers, praising us for such a wonderful event. They said the event was well-organized and they hope the future juniors can do the same. But, I personally thanking the competitors for they had perform well that night as I believe, the event will go nowhere without their lovely participation and their magical touches on the stage. But deep inside of me, I’m also thanking my own self for I had chewed up all the failures and conflicts that kept holding me back, and spit them out with pride. I’m not discourage, for every wrong attempt that I had discarded, is actually another step forward for me to success.

Fast!!

Being a KMB student, I manage to do some charity workout at PDK Semenyih, and here is my self evaluation...

To be part of them who contribute to the welfare of others is truly an honor indeed. I personally believe that the reason is because my love towards humanity. Looking back, some memories resonates when I were asked to choose the place of interest, the place where we will conduct our CAS activities for the whole two semesters. I was told that Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) is the place where all the wrong doers, who are about my age, will be placed; those who commit juvenile acts and are physically active. I was thrilled and assigned myself straight into Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK), Semenyih. The registration process was going fine.
Later on, a night before we go to PDK Semenyih, we sat among groups member and thinking what are the possibilities that we will encounter there and planning activities that we are able to conduct there. I was shockingly disbelieved by the input that my group-mates gave me. I was informed that Pusat Pemulihan Dalam Komuniti (PDK) offers nothing much than slow and retarded kids. Those with mental problems like autism, down syndrome, etc. My heart was scattered by the great dismay. I lost my mood all the night long and my interest towards this External CAS activities subsided. I thought of many things; their reaction, their aggressiveness and their dirty side, especially about their saliva that I scared so much.
Nonetheless, the next morning, I tried to cool myself down. My heart was pumping once our bus arrived at the destination. I carefully watched my steps, not to come any near to them. I was so surprised after knowing that they are just like me-perfect in physical’s sense. The only thing that differ me from them is that, they are more special than me.
As time passing week by week, little that I knew my love towards them had blossomed. There were a sense of brotherhood between me and each of them. I appreciate them more and more each day. These blessings, whom I once called retarded, were the group of people who had thought me the true meaning of humanity, the pure meaning of universal love and also the sacred meaning of salvation. A bend in the road is not the end of the road ... unless you fail to make the turn.
Today, at this very point of my life, I feel relief for I had done the first mistake of choosing PDK Semenyih as my place of choice. I believe my presence in PDK Semenyih was planned by God and always has its purpose. With this humble heart of mind, I really appreciate them. To all members of the house of PDK Semenyih, Thank You for entering my life…
